I have been in love with Disney since first visiting in the mid-80’s as a child. My most special memory of visiting Disney is experiencing Magic Kingdom with my parents and my own family and seeing the generations of family members creating special memories together. Recently we became Disney Vacation Club members! Someone once told me that the three most fun parts of a trip are planning the trip, taking the trip, and the memoirs of the trip. My goal is to constantly be living in these three areas as much as possible, and planning other people’s vacation helps me to do that!
Some of my Disney Favorites:
Resorts: We are Disney Vacation Club owners at Animal Kingdom Lodge and love the idea of sleeping with the animals-I mean it is a hotel with its own savanna!! As a family one of our favorite places to stay is Beach Club because it has the best pool in all of Disney–it is basically its own mini water park. Art of Animation family suites is also a place that allows us to spread out and the theming is fun and makes you feel like you are in that Disney bubble.
Rides: Space Mountain was my favorite ride in the 80’s, and it still stands true today! It is the first ride our family runs to as soon as we get into Magic Kingdom. Any roller coaster is always a family favorite as we are thrill junkies, but we also love to enjoy the slower rides like Soarin, Splash Mountain, and Haunted Mansion.
Eats: We love Ohana for dinner and think it is a great way to kick off a family vacation before heading to Magic Kingdom to see the fireworks. Beaches and Cream is a great place to get fun food like the Kitchen Sink Sundae which you need the whole family to help you eat!
Treats: Who doesn’t like the traditional Mickey bar or a Dole Whip? We have many snack goals as a family and spend lots of time watching Disney food vlogs to help us decide what new treat to try.
Experiences: Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, Happily Ever After, and Electric Water Pageant.
